Anti-Wrinkle Treatment (Botulinum Toxin Injections)

Botulinum toxin injections — commonly known by the brand name Botox — work by temporarily relaxing the small facial muscles that create expression lines, by blocking the nerve signal that tells them to contract. Because the muscle can no longer contract as strongly, the skin above it appears smoother.

Results aren’t permanent: the effect typically develops over three to fourteen days and lasts around three to four months, after which the muscle gradually regains its normal movement and further treatment is needed to maintain the result.

Areas treated
- Crow’s feet — Softens the fanned lines that appear at the outer corners of the eyes when smiling or squinting.
- Glabella (frown lines) — Smooths the vertical lines that form between the eyebrows when frowning.
- Forehead lines — Softens horizontal lines across the forehead created by raising the eyebrows.
- Gummy smile — Reduces the amount of gum visible when smiling, by relaxing the muscle that lifts the upper lip.
- Nose tip lift — Gives a subtle lift to the tip of the nose by relaxing the muscle that pulls it downward when smiling.
- Bunny lines — Softens the diagonal lines that appear across the bridge of the nose when scrunching it.
- Pebble chin (chin dimpling) — Smooths the dimpled, “orange-peel” texture that can appear on the chin from an overactive chin muscle.
- Peri-oral lines — Softens fine vertical lines around the mouth, sometimes called smoker’s lines.
- Lip flip — Subtly rolls the upper lip outward for a fuller appearance, without adding volume with filler.
- Marionette lines — Softens the downward lines running from the corners of the mouth toward the chin.
- Jawline slimming — Relaxes the chewing (masseter) muscle to soften a square jawline, and can also help with jaw tension or teeth grinding.
- Platysmal bands — Smooths the vertical bands that can appear down the neck when the platysma muscle is very active.
