We use the SkinPen device, which allows precise control over needle depth and uses a sterile, single-use cartridge for every treatment.
What it can help with
• Acne scarring, particularly rolling and shallow boxcar scars
• Uneven skin texture
• Enlarged pores
• Fine lines
• Dull or uneven skin tone
• Stretch marks
What happens at your appointment
Your skin is cleansed and a numbing cream is applied for around 30 minutes. The SkinPen is then passed over the treatment area, with the needle depth adjusted for each zone of the face. The treatment itself takes around 30 minutes, and a soothing serum is applied afterwards. Microneedling can also be combined with PRP or exosomes for additional benefit.
Downtime and aftercare
Your skin will look red, similar to mild sunburn, for 24 to 48 hours, and may feel tight or dry for a few days afterwards. Avoid make-up for 24 hours, and avoid exercise, swimming, saunas and active skincare such as retinoids and acids for 48 hours. Use a high-factor sunscreen daily. Written aftercare is provided after every treatment.
How many sessions will I need?
Most people need a course of three to six sessions, spaced four to six weeks apart. Collagen builds gradually, so improvement continues for several months after your final session.
Is it suitable for me?
Microneedling may not be suitable if you have active acne, a skin infection or cold sore in the treatment area, a tendency to form keloid scars, have taken isotretinoin in the last six months, or are pregnant. Suitability is confirmed at your consultation.

Frequently asked questions
Does microneedling hurt?
A numbing cream is applied beforehand, so most people describe the treatment as a mild prickling or vibrating sensation.
When will I see results?
Your skin may look brighter within a week, but improvements in texture and scarring develop gradually over the following months as new collagen forms.
Can microneedling treat all types of acne scar?
It works best for rolling and shallow boxcar scars. Deep “ice-pick” scars and raised scars usually need other treatments, which can be discussed at your consultation.
